Our Facilities
Specialized Equipment
Andriod Head
This robotic head allows manipulation of the movement of each indivdual portion of the face, such as eye balls, cheeks, neck etc. This life-like android head is able to mimic human facial expressions, such as smile, neutral, anger, fear, disgust and frown etc.
Khepera Miniature Robot System
Khepera is a miniature mobile robot with functionality similar to larger robots used in research and education.
It allows real world testing of algorithms developed in simulation for trajectory planning, obstacle avoidance, pre-processing of sensory information, and hypotheses on behavior processing, among others.
Robot Soccer System
Robot Soccer System is a entire set of facilities in support of the FIRA Cup, where two teams of miniature robots (Mirosots), battle it out in a game of soccer. A typical set of equipment would consists of the following items: five Mirosots robots, a CCD camera, a robot soccer field, vision systems and lastly, the vision software.
VisionTrak Desktop 300
VisionTrak Desktop 300 Binoculars System is an eye tracking system which collects data such as pupil size, eye movement parameters and eye point of regard from human subjects. Data are collected in real-time through its Raw Eye Movement Data Acquisition Software. The specialized remote Infrared (IR) video camera system is directed by the integrated pan/ tilt mechanism which track the position of the eyes; this negates the need for a chin rest for the human subject while capturing data on a separate system.
Data Glove
The data glove (right-handed) is a glove-like input device that is equipped with sensors that capture the movements of the hand. Data gloves are commonly used in virtual reality environments where physical data, such as bending of fingers are interpreted by the software accompanied when purchasing the data glove.
